rollin' down the highway
got my hand on top of the window
gonna get some automatic air conditioning
got a car body frame
sort of looks like my crazy lifestyle
got some bruises & some cuts
but somehow like me, it gets me going

it's a classic in its own way
it's got a mind of it's own
could afford a Ford
it's got four doors
got a heater block to make it thru Winter
got headlights to make it to the light of Summer
my Dad has worked his whole life
said he's gonna sweep the streets of gold
and like my Mom, not much into the material world
i've come too far to be ashamed
Jesus never walked around in riches
but he promised a mansion on a hill
the best is yet to be found beyond here
got a problem, got a situation; got a prayer
i've been called to give a helping hand
got a conversation, gonna get an answer from above
there's no tellin' what lies ahead
i haven't been disappointed yet
when i've applied myself
the answer was always there
