met her around the time i made a prayer request
and needed a place to settle down in California
there was a woman
who was as crazy as i was
yet we had some common ground
there was love & there was dance
something about that German sound
in the winter her hair turns to a real blonde
she is tall physical & healthy
met her parents
her Dad was cool living in Vegas
we enjoyed each other's company
she's a woman GOD can tame
she's been with me since i quit drinking in January 2019
she sometimes can be supportive
she makes some of the finest chicken in town
the future is anyone's guess
we're believers
we've been to Stanford together
seen a Indian dance together
we've been on a roller coaster together in Santa Cruz
swimmed in the bay together
seen the Scorpions cool band from Germany
she works hard at work
she's far from home
but aren't all of us?
we're still crazy
but a good movie still drives us home
