i was a bit disappointed
the only paradise were the girls & women
who graced the beach it brought Tampa Bay alive
when you drove down Dale Mabry there was the Rock It Club
for your entertainment and still is Mons Venus
not terribly far at night you found Gasoline Alley
heading downtown to Ybor City you can find the Ritz Theatre
i was single again
my hair was getting longer
and the babes weren't far out of reach
my mistake i had too much to drink at first
today i got a grip
what the Tampa Industry has to offer

at the Zoo seen Billy Martinez & the Crush
recently talked with Jon Drenning
saw him on the Internet rocking with Crimson Glory
clubs & dives there was Dog Downstairs
chatted & hung out with Neurotica
female band Cheeky Monkey can bend & sing those chords
back in the day Roxx Gang packed the house
walking into a pool room or bar wasn't hard to find talent
Zachary Stevens kicking back & shooting pool
last time i visited a club seen the band R50
remember southern rock originates from Florida
you got sunshine women & swamps
and you get to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd The Outlaws
don't forget the Allman Brothers
