been watching & listening too Bruce Springsteen's video anthology
his harmonica & guitar reminds me of
Neil Young & Bob Dylan, men singing about a lost highway
still here in Hillsborough County
with the police law giving tickets & citations
while they break their own rules
never caring how they ruin the common man's lives
for work & survival
been fishing & seeking for the Promised Land
where my dad, mother, brothers & sisters will really settle down
ask me if i believe, you better believe it
my vinyl, cd collection of music keep me occupied
bibliographies i've read of Clapton & John Fogerty
their stories are familiar experiences in my life
movies on dvd whether its violence, comedy or suspense
its a mystery to me
but i have to admit i like Charlize Theron's acting
we go shopping at a second hand store
a good t-shirt that fits me well
puts a smile on my face
having this Jesus compassion & this sobriety
puts me closer to humanity
where i pray we all find comfort in the Shepard
