she beats the Voice, America's got talent & American idol
today's country music with another song shoved down our throats
with male singers wearing a cowboy hat singing a cheap imitation of Hank Williams Sr.
with titles like Drunk Drivers Make Great Lovers
what happened to real country like Patsy Cline
out of hundreds of bands today at least there's The Band Perry
i guess trailer trash has something to claim
today's music
everyone's tryin to sound or look like someone from the past
why can't we be original anymore
whining girls, boy bands
repeated guitar solos
Jack White at least tries to be different
i'm not gonna point fingers at the wanna be artists
just keep looking up the Internet for your music
put it on an iPad, your such a music fan
corporate, ballads & sponsorship
has smothered today's music
some radio stations don't even have real d.j.'s
they're recordings of a d.j.'s voice
how do you fire Jim Ladd, radio d.j.
from KMET & KLOS from Los Angeles
who did great innerviews
at least Tampa's still got The Big Rig on 98Rock & the Thunder
computers are made to help us with work
not with music
some radio stations are going back to old school
playin' the blues, rock, soul & rap on one station WMNF
some musicians are doin' the same
got violins in their rock, got blues in their country
try something we haven't seen
write & sing about something we haven't heard
bitchin' about the truth
until someone picks up the right instrument
or mic & makes some useful noise...
