tired of sinning
tired of lying about how i really feel
got an HD TV antenna, free TV
that's the way it should be
sick of those cable bills, Spectrum you're a joke
got the networks got Austin City Limits
catch the latest news & sports scores
got a Straight Talk phone to give me any info i need
from a Google voice search to the internet
microwave & refrigerator to cool & warm my food
i hear a voice saying don't be ashamed
of the decisions you made as a young man
or the life you live now
we all have our faults & shortcomings
there's been relationships with women some long some short
been jobs that have benefited me & some that have wasted my time
there's a call that's still ringing in my head
there's a place & a time for everything
it's a time for warning & there's a place for healing
i've lived long enough
to have a son expecting a baby girl
seen his brother take the time to share a meal
with me & watch some basketball or football at his place
there's still some concerts that i still need to see
some are seasoned artists & some are newer ones
it's like the Word says, 'Delight yourself in the Lord
and He will give you the desires of music and women'
there never seems to be a shortage
of how the youth have become accomplished singers & musicians
but there's a beauty & a promise in GOD's Word
how we need to honor Him & our parents
there's a promise that lies in the future
that determines your destination to reunite with the ones you love
it could be a loved one, a parent
a son, or a daughter, even a pet you owned
it's the escape that i search for everyday
