we've all come short of GOD's glory
there's no human perfect
no matter if we do good or bad
troubles gonna come our way
in other words damn if you do damn if you don't
there's an old saying
you weren't born yesterday
when your face down & you see your so called friends leave town
( learn about ) the power of forgiveness
but let's turn our tv's too CNN news
George Floyd a man who lived in a poor community
where people help each other feeding people in soup kitchens
where counterfeit money went from hand to hand
here George was buying a pack of cigarettes
not knowing it was gonna be his last breath
when some white untrained cop demonstrating his power
put out one of our own a brother a native
now these protesters
who removed confederate statues
and threw one in the banks of water
were slaves were thrown years before
i'm all for that!
tryin' to stay busy myself hitting the gym again
going to the local beach near the airport
nothing like floating in the crisp cool water
under a grey sky
Floyd's life is a sacrifice now
and something's gonna give
history will change
